BluMont Dobermans Dobermans bred for success in conformation, performance and companionship.
I bought my first Doberman in the early 80s. Rainy Day Gretal CD and Rainy Day Storm-A-Long CDX introduced me to the wonderful world of obedience and tracking. Storm was a "rare" blue Doberman. Through him, I was introduced to some problems often encountered, when buying from a breeder unconcerned about health, or the hair loss and skin issues sometimes associated with the dilute colors. Storm was a wonderful dog, but by the time he and I achieved our CDX title, he was practically hairless. While showing Storm and Gretal I began to watch the conformation rings, and to learn about bloodlines. My next Doberman was much better bred and became Scotsbrae's Sparkling Spirit UDT. Although missing teeth kept her from success in the conformation ring, her spirit and better structure led to a wonderful obedience career.
In 1989 I bred my Ch Teraden's Romeo UDT ROM daughter to Ch Scotsbrae Wrangler UDT ROM which produced a litter of 5, one Canadian Champion, several pointed in the US and my heart dog BluMont Rejoicing Revelry UD WAC.
All my present dogs trace back one way or another to Ch Scotsbrae Wrangler UDT ROM who was the sire of this first litter.
